Job summary

Hawkins HR Consulting, LLC seeks an experienced Power Systems Electrical Engineer to support reliability, maintenance, and performance of electrical power systems from 120V through 69kV/138kV. You will work with a mentoring team and contribute to long-term improvements while expanding technical expertise and taking on increasing responsibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Power Systems engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with 120V through 69kV/138kV power systems.
• Experience with transformers and electrical distribution systems.
• Familiarity with NFPA/NEC and NETA standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support reliability and performance of electrical power distribution systems.
• Analyze and improve reliability across low-, medium-, and high-voltage applications.
• Work with transformers and associated power systems.
• Perform motor circuit analysis and interpret results.
• Conduct transformer oil analysis to assess condition and reliability.
• Conduct equipment criticality assessments and risk analyses.
• Develop asset strategies aligned with criticality and business goals.
• Evaluate preventive maintenance programs to remove low-value tasks while maintaining risk control.
• Utilize condition-monitoring and predictive-maintenance technologies.
• Analyze maintenance history and reliability data to identify opportunities.
• Facilitate RCA, RCM, FMEA, and Weibull analyses.
• Develop corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide reliability input for capital projects and equipment selection.
• Support integration of new equipment into reliability systems.
• Ensure CMMS records are accurate and up to date.
• Support equipment inspections and audits to identify reliability concerns.
• Collaborate to optimize spare-parts strategies and availability.
• Champion Management of Change processes for electrical equipment.
