Job summary

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering, Inc. seeks a mid-level Electrical Engineer - Power to design, analyze, implement, and commission power systems for industrial facilities, commercial projects, and T&D infrastructure, under the guidance of a Senior Electrical Engineer.

You will perform protection and control design, relay programming, and power system studies, with opportunities to travel domestically to client sites.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of hands-on electrical engineering experience in power systems (industrial, commercial, or utility/T&D preferred)
• Knowledge of digital relays, electrical relays, VFDs, UPSs, transfer switches, generators, transformers
• Experience with power systems modeling software such as SKM Powertools, ETAP, EasyPower

Responsibilities

• Design, development, and implementation of power system solutions under guidance of a senior engineer
• Prepare diagrams and control panel designs; review manufacturer equipment drawings
• Perform power system studies and relay protection settings; support testing and commissioning
• Travel to client sites up to 10–25% as needed
• Prepare project documentation and support RFIs, specs, and shop drawings
