Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Power Systems Engineer specializing in Automation. You will lead engineering efforts, plan and design automation projects, and configure real-time controllers and HMI/SCADA components for safe, reliable power systems. Travel up to 20% will be required to support customers.

The role emphasizes engineering leadership, client interactions, and the development of robust control and communication architectures across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Experience with IEC-61850, DNP3, Modbus and other industry protocols.
• Proficiency in Python programming for automation tasks.
• Understanding of IT/OT network design and troubleshooting (Wireshark).
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.

Responsabilités

• Lead project engineering efforts and coordinate with project managers and customers.
• Attend customer meetings to provide equipment expertise and recommendations.
• Define and oversee multiple objectives with minimal guidance.
• Research SEL equipment and solutions and evolve network designs.
• Collaborate on OT network solutions architecture and data flow.
