Job summary

1898 & Co. is seeking an Energy & Utilities Analyst to assist with power system studies, capital cost assessments, and economic evaluations for fossil and renewable generation projects.

You will support planning, due diligence, and project deliverables under supervision of a consultant or project manager. The role involves preparing technical reports, client presentations and financial analyses, with emphasis on integration of engineering insights and economic reasoning for energy and utility

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Basic knowledge in standard engineering techniques, principles and procedures.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, interprets and applies engineering, financial and economic conditions to client projects.
• Assists with life-cycle cost analyses and economic assumptions.
• Supports power system planning and operations analysis, including power flow and reliability.
• Prepares technical reports and client presentations; supports contract administration.
• Assists with drawings, studies and evaluations for utility projects.
