The Energy & Utilities Analyst will assist with power system studies, cost analyses, and planning for fossil and renewable generation projects in a learning-forward environment. Based in Houston, this full-time role supports consulting teams, prepares technical reports, and collaborates across engineering and financial disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting or related degree from an accredited program.
• Masters degree in Electrical Engineering strongly preferred.
• Basic knowledge in standard engineering techniques, principles and procedures.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
• Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)
• Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (in the country where this position is located).

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, interprets, and applies engineering, financial, and economic conditions to client projects.
• Assists with life-cycle cost analyses by developing technical and economic assumptions.
• Supports power system planning and operations analysis, including power flow and reliability.
• Contributes to technical reports and client presentations.
• Assists with regulatory compliance assessments and reviews.
• Supports studies for fossil and renewable generation projects.
• Assists with drawings/designs for project requirements set by managers.
• Adheres to all policies and standards.
