Alabama Power Company seeks a Power System Coordinator (Transmission System Operator) to ensure the integrity of the state's transmission network. You will direct field crews, monitor transmission systems, and coordinate generation resources, including hydro operations, to maintain a reliable bulk power system.

Required are an ABET-accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience, and active NERC certification in Transmission Operator or Reliability Coordinator.

Competenze

• ABET-accredited engineering degree OR technical certificate/Associate’s degree OR extensive transmission system operations experience.
• Active NERC certification in Transmission Operator or Reliability Coordinator is required.
• Comprehension of NERC CIP and Insider Threat Program requirements prior to hire.
• Experience with switching operations and operation of generation resources.

• Monitor and operate Network Transmission/Sub Transmission systems.
