Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Power Design Coordinator/EIT to help shape reliable power systems and support grid modernization efforts. You will work with engineers to develop design options and prepare project deliverables, including diagrams, wiring, SCADA, and substation layouts.

You may perform tasks independently or with senior engineers on larger projects, and occasional travel may be required. A Bachelor's in Engineering and strong MS Office skills are required; EIT is preferred for career

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses to develop power-related design options and deliverables (e.g., drawings, cost estimates, specs).
• Perform routine engineering tasks using standard techniques with clear objectives.
• Work independently on small projects or assist senior engineers on larger projects.
• Typical designs include one-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, substations layouts, material lists, conduit sizing, sizing of AC/DC systems, and grounding.
• Occasional short-term travel (1–5 days) may be necessary; longer assignments occasionally.
• Perform other duties as needed.
