Job summary

TCAT Dickson is seeking a Power Sports Technology Associate Instructor to deliver in-person theory and hands-on training for adult and high school students, preparing them for careers in the field. You will grade progress, maintain records and help place graduates, while building industry relationships and participating in advisory activities.

The role emphasizes safety, engines, marine engines, drives and transmissions, frames, electrical systems and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or higher in an instructional area; associate degree preferred.
• At least 3 years repairing power sports units in last 5 years.
• OEM certifications preferred.
• Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical repair knowledge.
• Proficient at diagnoses with test equipment and manuals.
• Must possess computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person theory and hands-on instruction to adult and high school students.
• Monitor, grade and evaluate student progress; maintain records.
• Assist in recruitment of new students and placement of graduates.
• Maintain public relations with business and industry; cooperate with advisory committees.
• Supervise cooperative education students and coordinate travel as needed.
• Adhere to grant-funded position requirements and class schedules.
