Job summary

Meyer Distributing is seeking a Sales Account Manager - Power Sports to join our Arlington, TX team. You will handle inside sales activities, take orders, and close sales while representing Meyer with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Qualified candidates have Power Sports industry background, strong verbal/written communication skills, and the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively. Travel may be required as directed by a supervisor.

Qualifications

• Solid background in the Power Sports industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication and telephone skills
• Ability to communicate on the phone 90 percent or more of shift

Responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of telephone calls per day, taking orders and closing sales
• Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound calls
• Process calls with efficiency and accuracy; keep digital notes of all communications
• Ensure accounts are serviced and maintained per company standards
• Recognize customers’ buying patterns and promote new product lines
• Contact key accounts regularly and develop professional relationships with customers
• Investigate and resolve customer issues professionally and reasonably
• Meet or exceed sales goals
• May handle other calls in the Power Sports industry and stay current on product knowledge
• Some travel may be required
• All other duties as assigned

The Sales Account Manager - Power Sports is responsible for all inside sales functions including but not limited to inbound/outbound telephone calls and the processing of sales documents and represents Meyer and its interests with the highest regard to customer satisfaction in a professional manner.

Preferred Experience for a Customer Account Manager:

• Experience: Power Sports Inside Sales experience preferred
• Entry level salespeople with Powersports experience and solid customer service experience encouraged to apply.

Requirements for a Sales Account Manager - Powersports:

• Must have solid background in the Power Sports Industry
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication and telephone skills.
• Must have ability to communicate on the phone 90 percent or more of shift.
• Must understand customer’s current needs and anticipate future customer requirements.
• Must have ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Ability to give special attention to detail required.
• Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Planning/organizing and follow up skills —the individual prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans and follows up to ensure compliance.
• This position requires extensive use of a computer. Experience with Microsoft preferred.
• Excellent negotiating abilities.
• Must have strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Sales Account Manager - Power Sports duties include but are not limited to:

• Handles a high volume of telephone calls per day, working with existing and new potential customers, taking orders and closing sales
• Sources new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls
• Processes all calls with efficiency and accuracy. Keeps digital notes of all telephone communications. Verifies orders before processing into computer system
• Ensures that accounts are serviced and maintained in accordance with Company standards
• Recognizes customers’ buying patterns and promotes possible new product lines
• Contacts key accounts regularly. Routinely contacts prospects to continue to build sales and new customers. Develops and maintains professional relations with customers
• Investigates and resolves all customer issues professionally and reasonably, resulting in conclusions that are acceptable for both Company and customer
• Meets or exceeds sales goals
• While primary focus is answering calls for Power Sports division, may take other calls in our industry, as well
• Stays current on Power Sports Division product knowledge and trends
• Some travel possible as directed by supervisor
• All other duties as assigned
