Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks an Environmental Professional to support environmental permitting of power transmission and generation projects in the Western U.S., primarily Colorado.

The role involves preparing permits, guiding projects through the NEPA process, and preparing technical reports alongside engineers and clients. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of environmental experience and a strong background in GIS/CAD, data handling, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or closely related field
• Minimum of 5 years environmental experience
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
• Strong conceptual, organizational, problem‑solving and research abilities
• Active participant in employee‑owned culture is a must

Responsibilities

• Support environmental permitting of power transmission and generation projects in the Western U.S.
• Prepare permits, guide projects through NEPA process, and prepare technical reports
• Collaborate with resource specialists, engineering teams, and clients to identify project needs
• Develop and screen project alternatives and assess environmental and social impacts
• Collect, assimilate, and manage data including geospatial mapping and interviews with agencies/clients
