Job summary

Applied Digital is seeking a mid-level Power Regulatory Compliance Manager to lead regulatory evaluation, monitoring and compliance for high computational loads and energy supply to data center projects. The role requires self-sufficient project management across utility, regulatory and contractual coordination, reporting to the VP Energy Strategy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in regulatory management roles within electric utilities or large loads.
• Experience interfacing with RTOs/ISOs and wholesale power markets.
• Understanding of transmission grid operations and power generation technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day coordination with regulators (NERC, FERC, RTO/ISO) and utilities.
• Identify, track and ensure compliance with regulations for computational load and energy supply.
• Participate in agency rule making and trade group initiatives shaping regulatory constructs.
• Manage regulatory filings, approvals and compliance reporting.
• Engage consultants and third party support for compliance management.
• Interface with cross-functional teams (development, operations, legal, finance) to support schedules and regulatory obligations.
• Focus on execution, risk identification and keeping projects moving after requirements are defined.
