Power Platform Solutions Consultant

1 year contract

Part time (19 hours per week) - hours may change depending on the week with an average of 19 hours expected

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Power Platform Solutions Consultant to support our client's team in maintaining and enhancing our Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem. This is a part-time role (averaging 19 hours/week) focused on internal enablement, governance, and strategic support. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of Power Platform tools (especially Power BI and Power Automate), stay up to date on platform updates, and guide internal teams and agencies on platform use, governance, and licensing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the internal Power Platform expert, staying current with new features, updates, and best practices
  • Share relevant platform updates with the internal team to enhance platform effectiveness and adoption
  • Maintain and enhance the Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) and administrative settings
  • Ensure the Power Platform Admin Center is current, secure, and aligned with organizational governance
  • Provide licensing guidance to agencies and internal teams, helping navigate Microsoft Power Platform licensing models
  • Support operations within the Microsoft Government Community Cloud (GCC) environment
  • Collaborate primarily with internal stakeholders, while participating in external customer calls as needed
  • Mentor and support a junior Power Platform resource, providing technical guidance, oversight, and professional development
  • Work with agencies that build their own applications — this is a strategic and governance role, not a development position

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, etc.) – open to variation based on skillset
  • Deep understanding of Power Platform governance and licensing, especially in government or regulated environments
  • Familiarity with Power Platform CoE and Admin Center management
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working within Microsoft’s GCC environment is a strong plus
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid role: internal support, occasional customer interactions, and team mentorship
  • Self-driven, organized, and collaborative in a remote work environment

Nice to Have:

  • Experience supporting or advising government agencies
  • Background in platform governance, solution architecture, or internal consulting roles
  • Prior mentoring or team leadership experience
