Job summary

Grand River Energy Center in Chouteau, OK is seeking an entry-level Technician I – Operations to support the plant's operations team. This role performs semi-skilled manual work under supervision and contributes to safety, equipment reliability, and process improvements.

Duties include monitoring equipment, maintaining logs, operating heavy equipment, and participating in emergency response training; strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year technical or vocational training preferred or two years of operations experience.
• OSHA 30 certification within six months of employment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes continual improvement and safety; identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability.
• Operates scrubbers, steam turbines, generators and plant equipment during normal and emergency operations.
• Monitor and inspect plant equipment for normal operation.
• Maintain and update plant logs and reports; perform mathematical calculations related to operations.
• Report abnormal conditions and take corrective actions as needed.
• Provide input on equipment conditions and potential failure risks to job plans.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly testing to stay compliant with governing agencies.
• Operate heavy equipment including forklifts and boom lifts; train for firefighting and first aid as required.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
