Job summary

St Charles Energy Center is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Technician to oversee the safe, reliable operation of plant equipment under standard procedures and leadership. You will operate the control room and combustion turbines, troubleshoot issues, monitor data, and participate in shift rotations with a 12-hour shift pattern.

Qualifications

3-5+ years of relevant experience in power plants or equivalent military experience.
Competent oral and written communication skills.
Reading technical manuals and drawings.
Proficient in operation and maintenance of a combined-cycle station.
Overtime and non-standard hours as required.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
Ability to lift 40-75 lbs. and work in demanding conditions.

Responsibilities

Oversee safe, efficient, reliable operation of plant equipment.
Operate control room, turbines, and auxiliary equipment during normal/emergency operation.
Troubleshoot equipment to resolve operational problems.
Monitor and record data using instruments and shift logs.
Implement Plant Emergency Procedures as needed.
Communicate plant conditions to others and assist in daily decision-making.
Ensure shift operations and PMs are performed.
