Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Power Plant Technician in Fargo, ND to monitor, diagnose, and maintain critical plant systems and equipment. The role includes overseeing building automation, keeping daily logs, and ensuring safe operation of boilers, chillers, pumps and motors.

You will work from blueprints and manuals, apply electrical test techniques, and communicate procedures clearly. The position requires a strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade/Vo-Tech training preferred.
• Experience operating and maintaining power production equipment.
• Boiler license may be required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and diagnose control issues on essential building systems.
• Oversee building automation system and coordinate with maintenance.
• Maintain daily log sheets for major equipment.
• Utilize electrical test equipment and procedures.
• Work with hand tools and read blueprints and manuals.
• Demonstrate strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Provide clear written or oral explanations of procedures and equipment.
