Job summary

Bryan Health seeks a qualified Energy Plant Operator to manage the day-to-day operation of the hospital energy plant, including boilers, chillers and associated systems. You will monitor equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safe, compliant operation aligned with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience with boiler or energy plant systems preferred.
• Underground Storage Tank Class C Operator training required.

Responsibilities

• Operate gas and oil fired boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, air compressors and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs and adjustments per specifications and safety standards.
• Monitor plant operations and logs; respond to alarms and document changes.
• Communicate with hospital staff, patients and vendors as needed.
• Follow CMMS schedules for preventive maintenance and outages.
• Assist with elevator maintenance and related safety checks.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs and MSDS procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
