Job summary

TXU Retail Services Company is seeking a Power Plant Technician in Moss Landing, California. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of a Natural Gas Power Plant.

This role involves working in control rooms, monitoring safety protocols, and managing shifts while ensuring compliance with operational standards. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic PC skills, and be ready for 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends, and be on call.
• Ability to respond to plant emergencies and perform demanding work.
• Must pass respirator physical and fit test.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain facility in control room or field.
• Control all evolutions throughout the plant.
• Monitor water chemistry parameters and ensure safety compliance.

Skills

Ability to work under minimum supervision

Basic PC skills

Knowledge of safety regulations

Ability to operate forklifts and man-lifts

Education

High School diploma or equivalent
