Job summary

Targa Resources is seeking a Plant Operations Technician to monitor and optimize the performance of natural gas plant processes. You will work safely, troubleshoot mechanical equipment, and assist with treating plants and gas measurement equipment.

The role requires 3–5 years in oil and gas plant operations, strong IT and controls experience, and the ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. Safe driving and a proactive safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of oil and gas plant operations experience.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operating natural gas plant and pipeline equipment including compressors, dehydrators, and valves.
• Monitor and adjust controls to operating ranges and inspect equipment for malfunctions.
• Record operating conditions and respond to emergencies or upset conditions.
• Implement safe work practices and support proactive safety culture.
