Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a Plant Manager to lead all Operations and Maintenance for one of its power plants. You will ensure safe operation, manage staff, coordinate outages, and uphold safety and environmental regulations to deliver reliable performance.

You will oversee budgeting, training, and regulatory reporting while collaborating with owners, regulators, and corporate teams to drive continuous improvement and success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years of full-time supervisory experience within a power plant.
• BS degree in industrial management, engineering or related field.
• Simple cycle and/or combined cycle turbine experience.
• Strong knowledge of safety work procedures and environmental rules.

Responsibilities

• Direct all Operations and Maintenance activities at the plant.
• Develop safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
• Manage O&M personnel, training, performance reviews, and salary planning.
• Plan and execute maintenance outages and plant modifications.
• Ensure compliance with company policy, regulations and industry standards.
• Oversee O&M budget development, tracking and reporting.
• Communicate with owners, regulators and corporate staff.
