Job summary

NRG Energy in Texas seeks an experienced engineering professional to provide technical support for station process groups, conduct inspections, generate reports, and analyze data to improve reliability and efficiency of electrical generation.

You will coordinate repairs, support outage planning, and ensure regulatory compliance while upholding safety, environmental, quality, and diversity policies. Five plus years in engineering and maintenance preferred; degree required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree from an accredited college or university.
• 5+ years' experience in engineering, maintenance, operations, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with power plant systems and project management is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Support safety and environmental programs.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of power plant operation and systems.
• Develop and present reports on key plant performance metrics.
• Evaluate component condition and repair options.
• Perform site inspections and condition assessments to support maintenance planning.
• Perform Heat Rate analysis and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate activities with Vendors/Contractors and other divisions.
• Provide technical support during outages and post-outage evaluation.
