Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks an Operator II to support the safe, reliable operation of a reciprocating engine-based power generation facility with multiple engine-generator units. You will monitor equipment, adjust parameters per OEM guidelines, and assist with startups, outages, and maintenance while following all safety and environmental requirements.

Team up with Shift Supervisors, I&E and Maintenance staff, OEM reps, and vendors to optimize plant performance, troubleshoot issues, and

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED is required.
Experience in industrial operations, manufacturing, utilities, oil and gas, or power generation is preferred but not required.
Ability to read and interpret operating procedures, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Safely start, stop, operate, and monitor engine-generator packages and all associated equipment per OEM specs and procedures.
Monitor plant equipment via control systems and field inspections for safe, reliable operation.
Identify, troubleshoot, and report abnormal conditions to the Shift Supervisor.
Assist with startups, shutdowns, commissioning activities, and planned maintenance outages.
Coordinate with Maintenance and I&E personnel to safely isolate equipment and return systems to service.
