Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Power Plant Operator to join our Dearborn Maintenance Team. The role supports the patient care environment by operating the central heating and air-conditioning equipment for the Medical Center.

Shift is Part Time 16 Hours, split 2/3 shift, with duties focused on maintaining boilers, pumps, chillers, and related systems. Applicants should have a High School Diploma and post-secondary maintenance training, with 3 years’ experience in operating central plant

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Post-secondary training in a maintenance related field is required.
Familiarity with steam and condensate is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain flow of steam, heating system hot water, and chilled water to the Medical Center.
Monitor chemical levels and adjust treatment per the program.
Respond to equipment emergencies following SOPs for the Power Plant.
Document routine and extraordinary events on log sheets or systems.
