Job summary

Trinity Health MI is seeking a qualified Powerhouse Operator to join the facilities team on the evening shift at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland.

You will install, inspect and maintain hospital HVAC, boiler and related systems to ensure reliable campus operations. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, responding to emergencies, and using building automation systems to control temperature and energy use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current High Pressure Boiler Operator license required.
• Valid Michigan driver's license required.
• Minimum of 3 years powerhouse experience required.
• Working knowledge of HVAC and building automation systems preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain all powerhouse equipment for the hospital campus.
• Maintain HVAC and building automation systems to regulate temperatures seasonally.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance and document work in the system.
• Assist in energy management and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Respond to emergencies and call-ins as needed.
• Support mission and values of Trinity Health in daily operations.
