Job summary

Direct Energy Business is seeking an Operations Supervisor to monitor plant systems and lead a skilled team in Springdale, PA. You will respond to alarms, direct shift activities, and ensure safe, reliable generation aligned with PJM dispatch requirements.

The role requires strong leadership, experience with power plant operations, and adherence to safety and environmental permits. Expect 12-hour shifts, extended hours, and on-call duties as schedules demand.

Qualifications

• Two years experience as an Assistant Plant Operator or equivalent in a generating plant.
• Understand and write procedures as required.
• Preferred experience in combined cycle plant operations.
• Ability to work with power plant safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant systems and respond to alarms with corrective actions.
• Direct OP Techs and coordinate with Operations Manager and PJM for dispatch.
• Operate control panels to regulate load on HRSG and turbines.
• Oversee start-up/shut-down and Emergency Operating procedures.
• Communicate plant status and risks during daily meetings.
