Job summary

Public Service Co. of OK is seeking an entry-level Equipment Operator in Anadarko, OK. Under supervision, you will assist equipment operators, learn to isolate and service plant equipment, monitor systems, and perform routine maintenance on plant auxiliaries.

You’ll gain hands-on experience, work rotating shifts, and complete required training to advance. A two-year associate degree in related technology and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Two year Associate degree in power plant technology, industrial technology, engineering technology or equivalent.
• State driver's license required.
• Available to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends.
• Must complete online pre-employment assessment and achieve a “recommended” result.
• Must qualify for Equipment Operator 1st Yr within three months.

Responsibilities

• Assist equipment operators while learning duties.
• Isolate, clean, inspect and service plant equipment.
• Operate and maintain plant auxiliary systems.
• Monitor equipment and report abnormal conditions to the proper authority.
• Load, unload, move materials and perform cleaning of plant areas and equipment.
