Job summary

NAES is seeking an O&M Technician at Dover's Van Sant Generating Station to operate, monitor, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain plant equipment and systems. Responsibilities include startup/shutdown, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs to support reliability and safe operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree in power plant technology is preferred.
• Hands-on experience operating and maintaining power generation equipment and balance-of-plant systems.
• Proficiency in startup/shutdown, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform startup, shutdown, operation, and monitoring of plant equipment and auxiliary systems.
• Monitor plant performance, identify abnormal conditions, and take corrective actions.
• Conduct routine inspections, testing, and minor repairs to ensure safe operation.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO and maintain CMMS records.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance and document inspections and repairs.
• Support outages and plant improvement activities as needed.
