Job summary

PROENERGY is seeking an Operations Maintenance Technician to provide technical expertise for operation and repair of instrumentation, control, mechanical, electronic, and electrical equipment in power generation. The role involves predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance under supervision.

Reports to Plant Superintendent; based in the PJM area with site responsibilities across multiple plant facilities.

Qualifications

• AA in electronics or equivalent, or 4–6 years related experience.
• Must reside within 30 miles of the plant; occasional travel may be needed.
• 2 years’ experience with LM6000 gas turbine operations/maintenance.
• Flexible schedules may include weekend overtime or shifts.
• Must read, write, and speak fluent English.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorships.

Responsibilities

• Assist with predictive and preventive maintenance on instrumentation and control systems.
• Inspect, repair, test, and install mechanical, electronic, and electrical power plant equipment.
• Operate and monitor gas turbines, generators, and balance-of-plant equipment.
• Maintain safety practices and record-keeping; manage parts inventory.
