Job summary

eTeam in Wheatfield, IN is seeking a Maintenance Technical Support professional for a 12-month contract to hire. You will assist the Maintenance Supervisor to develop processes and procedures, plan work, and answer technical questions.

Ideal candidates have at least 4 years of maintenance experience in power plant environments or similar industrial settings, a strong safety record, and the ability to manage multiple projects while coordinating with operations, engineering, and plant management.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in Maintenance or related engineering in a power plant or similar environment.
• Understanding and commitment to safe work practices.
• Strong background in power plant equipment, instrumentation and controls.
• Ability to use predictive maintenance techniques (thermography, vibration analysis, ultrasound, tribology).
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or instrumentation maintenance procedures.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
• Understanding of maintenance management processes.
• Effective communication with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
• Familiar with relationships between mechanical, electrical, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment; inspect job sites, review procedures for hazards, and conduct pre-job safety briefs.
• Prioritize environmental equipment maintenance to comply with permits and procedures.
• Coordinate with Operations Superintendent, Engineering, and Plant Manager to develop repair strategies and schedules.
• Inform employees of performance standards and expectations.
• Develop budget requests for equipment maintenance and capital improvements; define project scope, cost and benefits.
• Forecast expenses and control department costs to operate within budget.
• Respond to emergency calls outside normal schedule.
• Train and evaluate employees in tools, procedures, and safe practices.
• Assist operating departments in monitoring equipment and troubleshooting abnormal conditions.
