Job summary

Vistra Energy in Monahans, Texas, seeks an E I&C Technician to support basic operation of gas plant systems including multiple GE combustion turbines. You will operate equipment within regulatory specs under supervision, learning proper maintenance and safety procedures while advancing with plant technicians.

The role requires 2-4 years related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of related experience or cross industry experience.
• Demonstrate standard computer-based skills.
• Demonstrate effective oral & verbal communications skills.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Assist/perform troubleshooting of plant equipment and preventive/corrective maintenance to ensure proper functioning.
• Perform daily maintenance, overhauls, repairs, and installations of plant equipment and structures.
• Maintain equipment knowledge and operate various hand, power, precision or machine tools to support safe work environments.
• Follow safety and environmental regulations including Lockout Tagout, JSA, Confined Space, Hot Work and PPE.
