Job summary

Vistra is seeking a highly skilled maintenance technician to service the instrumentation, control, electrical and mechanical systems of a 2 unit GT24 Combined Cycle plant in Massachusetts. You will perform routine and emergency maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues and ensure safe, reliable operation.

The role requires knowledge of high-voltage equipment up to 4160 volts, calibration of boiler and turbine controls, adherence to safety and environmental rules, and willingness to work overtime

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical training preferred.
• 4–6 years of maintenance experience in power generation facilities or similar industrial facilities.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental rules as they relate to electrical maintenance.
• Ability to work outdoors in heat and loud environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on instrumentation, control, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve plant instrumentation, control, electrical and mechanical issues.
• Inspect, repair, install and remove motors, generators, transformers, switches, and electrical gear up to 4160 volts.
• Tune and calibrate boiler controls and turbine controls for safe operation.
• Maintain and calibrate plant instrumentation for reliable operational data.
• Document maintenance history and maintain records.
• Maintain CEMS per compliance guidelines.
• Work outdoors in various conditions; safety compliance.
