Job summary

Arizona Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. is seeking an Instrumentation Technician to plan, inspect, dismantle, diagnose, and repair instrument and electronic control equipment on steam-gas turbine units.

The role requires journeyman-level experience in instrumentation and control, with knowledge of PLC/DCS programming, electrical theory, and OSHA regulations. On-site work in power generation facilities with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an instrument apprenticeship and journeyman level experience or six years in instrumentation and control.
• Strong knowledge of electronic, pneumatic and electric control systems.
• Experience with reading prints, drawings and manuals for diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of all generating station control equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules for reliability and efficiency.
• Promote safe working practices in compliance with policies.
• Calibrate and test station electrical and electronic control equipment.
• Coordinate with shift supervisors and instrument crew as needed.
