Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking I&C technicians for Plant Scherer to maintain and troubleshoot control systems and electrical circuits across our generating fleet. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and effective instrumentation management to support reliable plant operations.

Ideal candidates will have a two-year technical degree and power plant experience with electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls, plus knowledge of DCS/PLCs and relevant software.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree from a certified technical institution or military equivalent.
• Power plant experience in electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls is preferred.
• Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems, PLCs, GE Mark VIe Controls, Bently Nevada and Spectrum CEMS software is desired.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot plant control systems and electrical circuits.
• Complete repairs and perform work safely while maintaining instrumentation and related equipment.
• Document data sheets, test records, and other operational documentation in MAXIMO.
