Job summary

ROI - Workforce as a Service (WaaS) is seeking an Instrumentation Technician for the Ivanpah Generating Station in Nipton, CA. This 100% onsite role offers a 6–12 month temporary assignment with 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, 06:00–16:30.

The technician will install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation for boilers, turbines, generators, and plant auxiliaries; read P&IDs; perform benchwork and calibration; document work orders; and collaborate with apprentices while

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Five years of instrumentation maintenance experience preferred in power plants.
Ability to read P&IDs and electrical/mechanical drawings.
Skilled in calibration, testing and maintaining control systems.
Strong safety, environmental awareness and documentation discipline.

Responsibilities

Install, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain protective relays and plant control systems.
Read P&IDs and CWDs to locate, identify, troubleshoot, and repair plant systems.
Use test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, loop calibrators) and hand tools to troubleshoot devices.
Document work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, and material requests.
Train apprentice technicians and ensure safe work practices.
