Job summary

Merom Generating Station is seeking an Instrument and Controls (I&C) Technician to independently perform installation, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems at a two-unit coal-fired generating station. The role supports safe, reliable power generation and collaborates with plant operations, maintenance, engineering and vendors.

• Strong background in instrument and control maintenance.
• Experience with installation, testing, and maintenance of power plant instrumentation and control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Test, repair, and ensure continuity of instrumentation and control systems.
• Install and commission instrumentation and control systems equipment.
• Maintain complete records of installation, testing, repair and maintenance activities.
• Provide on-the-job training to less experienced personnel.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance and security of tools and work areas.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and vendors to support projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
