Job summary

Conduit Power seeks an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician in Midland, Texas to ensure the safe and reliable operation of power generation equipment. This hybrid role involves hands-on work in both field operations and maintenance tasks, requiring a strong technical background.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in power generation or oil & gas industry required.
• Experience with MTU, Jenbacher, CAT, or portable/fixed generators >1MW/2MW a plus.
• Willingness to work in extreme temperatures, wind, precipitation, and at heights required.
• Ability to work rotational schedules, long/irregular hours, and holidays required.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license required.
• Able to lift 50 pounds required.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, and monitor power plant equipment.
• Triage operational issues and maintain performance metrics.
• Conduct routine maintenance on generating equipment.
• Complete Job Hazard Analysis and determine appropriate PPE.

Skills

Technical certification or degree in a related field

3 years of experience in power generation or oil & gas industry

Experience with MTU, Jenbacher, CAT, or generators

Ability to work in extreme temperatures and at heights

Clean driving record and valid driver’s license

Ability to lift 50 pounds
