Job summary

PROENERGY is seeking an Operations Maintenance Technician to provide technical expertise for the operation and repair of instruments, control systems, and equipment in a power generation facility in Angleton, TX. The technician will perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems under supervision.

Reports to Plant Superintendent. Requires an associate degree, 2 years LM6000 experience, ability to work flexible schedules, and U.S.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics or equivalent.
• Residence within 30-mile radius of the plant site.
• 2 years’ experience with operations and maintenance of LM6000 Gas Turbines.
• Available to work flexible schedules, including weekends/shift work.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• US work authorization is a precondition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and control, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Operate and monitor combustion turbines, generators, and balance-of-plant equipment.
• Maintain logs, records, and CMMS work orders; order spare parts as needed.
• Follow safety procedures, report incidents, and support plant reliability goals.
• Diagnose faults, perform calibrations, and assist with turbine controls and DCS.
