Southern Co. Plant Miller is seeking a Plant Engineer to support plant operations, maintenance, and capital projects, applying engineering principles to improve reliability, efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance.

You will coordinate projects from conception through completion, managing budgets, schedules, contractor oversight, procurement support, and project documentation while collaborating with operations, maintenance, vendors, and corporate support groups to ensure safe, on-time,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is required.
• Three+ years of power plant or industrial engineering experience preferred.
• One year of project management or project engineering experience preferred.
• Experience developing project scopes, estimates, schedules, and contractor work packages is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage assigned projects from conception through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, contractor oversight, procurement support, and project documentation.
• Work closely with operations, maintenance, contractors, vendors, and corporate support groups to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
