Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Plant Engineer to support plant operations, maintenance, reliability, and capital projects to keep the facility safe, compliant, and efficient. You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Plant Leadership to enhance equipment performance and lifecycle value.

You will lead RCA/FMEA activities, manage MOC documentation, and support outages, inspections, and budgets while ensuring regulatory compliance and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of five (3) years of engineering, operations, or maintenance experience in a combined-cycle power plant or similar facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for daily plant operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment reliability.
• Monitor and analyze plant performance data to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, availability, and operating costs.
• Evaluate, develop, and implement equipment repairs, plant upgrades, and capital improvement projects.
• Support preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs through equipment monitoring, testing, and reliability analysis.
• Lead or participate in Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and FMEA with corrective actions.
• Develop and manage Management of Change (MOC) documentation for plant modifications.
• Support planning and execution of planned outages and major inspections.
• Prepare engineering reports, specifications, scopes of work, and equipment documentation.
• Provide technical support for procurement, contractor oversight, and project execution.
• Assist with annual operating and capital budgets.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits, NERC standards, and plant procedures.
• Promote safety through EHS program support and safe work practices.
