Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure safe, reliable operation of a reciprocating engine-based power facility. You will perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on engine-generator units and related systems, collaborating with Operations, I&E Technicians, and contractors to keep plant availability high.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Two+ years mechanical maintenance experience in power/industrial settings.
• Experience with engine-generators, pumps, valves, and rotating equipment.
• Ability to read OEM manuals, P&IDs, and maintenance procedures.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to lockout/tagout rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on engine-generator units and related equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and maintain mechanical equipment including engines, pumps, valves, actuators, and piping systems.
• Support outage work, startup testing, and contractor oversight as assigned.
• Read and interpret OEM manuals, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and parts diagrams.
• Document maintenance work in CMMS with parts used, conditions found, and follow-up actions.
• Assist with planning labor, parts, tools, and materials for maintenance tasks.
