Verto People Ltd in Port St. Lucie, FL is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician for a power-generation facility.

The role focuses on preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, including DCS, PLCs, HMIs, and auxiliary equipment. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in power plants, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to support outages and investigations to improve plant reliability.

Competenze

• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical, instrumentation, or control systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control diagrams.
• Understand electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and related standards.
• High school diploma or GED with relevant technical education, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel to other power generation facilities as needed.

Mansioni

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair DCS, PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, and related control equipment.
• Inspect, test, calibrate, and repair process instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level).
• Maintain and troubleshoot turbine and generator controls, excitation systems, and protective relays.
• Diagnose faults in switchgear, transformers, breakers, MCCs, motors, VFDs, and distribution systems.
• Test and verify plant interlocks, alarms, protective devices, ESDs, valves, and actuators.
• Support planned and emergency outages, investigations, and root cause analysis; maintain Maximo records.
