Job summary

Conemaugh Generating Station is seeking an E&I Technician-A apprentice for coal handling and instrumentation duties at our 1700-MW coal-fired plant in Pennsylvania. The role develops core skills across bottom ash removal, pulverizers, generators, and control systems while emphasizing safe work practices.

The Apprentice 1 will gain knowledge of equipment layout, inspection guidelines, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 usage, with opportunities to progress through four technician levels as you grow.

Qualifications

• Two (2) year technical degree supplemented by 3 to 5 years of power plant and/or industrial electrical, instrumentation or electronics experience is required.
• Successful completion of the E&I entry level test is required.

Responsibilities

• Ability to perform the duties of the position in a safe manner.
• Maintain plant electrical and instrumentation systems & equipment of the generating units
• Assist in troubleshooting of instrumentation problems and/or electrical problems.
• Documents work performed to support maintenance information in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, off shifts, for forced outages, planned outages and maintenance outages - may be called out at any hour during a normal work week or weekends
