Job summary

NAES Corporation seeks a Controls Engineer for the APEX Power Co. Project in Hubbard, TX, to lead the design, configuration, and optimization of DCS, SCADA, EMS, PLC, turbine control, and automation systems during commissioning and operations.

You will coordinate with IC&E, Operations, Maintenance, OEMs, and contractors; perform RCA coaching; and develop plant standards, backups, and documentation to ensure asset reliability and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Extensive experience with DCS, SCADA, EMS, PLC, and turbine control systems in power/industrial settings.
• Proficiency with Honeywell, GE Mark VI, ABB, and Allen-Bradley platforms for configuration and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead control system readiness, installation, configuration, and commissioning of DCS/SCADA/EMS/PLC and turbine controls.
• Coordinate integration with BESS, electrical systems, and balance-of-plant equipment; RCA troubleshooting.
• Develop documentation, backups, alarm databases, and CMMS data for turnover; support outages and startup.
