Job summary

NAES Corporation seeks an Electrical Technician for the APEX Power Co. Project in Hubbard, TX.

You will inspect, test, maintain, and troubleshoot plant electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, motors, generators, and BESS, across commissioning and startup activities. The role involves coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, vendors, and OEMs, following safety procedures, performing 12-hour shifts or day work, and supporting reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent electrical training with related experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of electrical systems in power generation or industrial settings.
• Experience troubleshooting switchgear, motors, transformers, batteries, and inverters.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, maintain, troubleshoot and install plant electrical equipment and systems.
• Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on switchgear, motors, transformers, batteries, inverters, and BESS.
• Diagnose electrical faults, evaluate condition, and support reliability improvements.
• Document test results, downtime, and maintenance actions; coordinate with stakeholders.
• Ensure calibration and proper functioning of electrical test equipment.
