Job summary

NAES Corporation's APEX Power Co. Project in Hubbard, TX, seeks an O&M Technician to support Pre-Commissioning of a 1.6 GW facility.

You will inspect, assemble, align, and test mechanical systems on turbines, engines, and BESS components, document activities, and assist engineering teams to ensure readiness for commissioning. This hands-on role requires experience with power generation equipment, ability to read technical drawings, and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred in power plant technology or related field.
• Experience with turbines and power plant auxiliary systems is desirable.
• Strong understanding of safety, LOTO and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate turbines, reciprocating engines, HRSGs, and BESS components according to SOPs.
• Perform startup, shutdown, and routine mechanical checks to ensure safe operation.
• Inspect components, monitor parameters, and report abnormalities.
• Assist in scheduled outages and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate logs in CMMS and support other teams as needed.
