Job summary

Entergy Arkansas, LLC seeks a Plant Chemist & Environmental Tech at Newark Power Plant to monitor water chemistry, collect samples, and maintain lab equipment. You will ensure regulatory compliance and support wastewater and potable water operations.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemistry, Biology or other physical science, or equivalent power plant chemistry experience (5+ years)
• Must be able to obtain necessary licenses/certifications once in position
• Experience with laboratory equipment and regulatory compliance is a plus

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control water chemistry integrity in plant systems
• Collect and analyze water, oil, and coal samples from plant systems
• Provide testing, calibration and maintenance of chemical and environmental equipment
• Ensure compliance with permits and standards
• Maintain laboratory inventory and supplies
• Oversee unloading of bulk chemical trucks
• Operate and maintain Waste Water and Potable Water plants
• Work four 10-hour days; overtime as needed
