Job summary

Amentum seeks a Boiler/Turbine Control Room Operator for its pharmaceutical powerhouse team in Groton, CT. You will operate, troubleshoot and maintain boilers, turbines, and related utilities on a 12-hour rotating schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage.

Responsibilities include running dual-fuel boilers, gas turbine, waste heat recovery generator, and distributed systems while monitoring chemistry, logs and alarm responses. Compliance and safety are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent is required.
• CT OE2 license or ability to obtain within one year.
• 5 years of technical experience in skilled trades operating and maintaining large plant systems.
• Ability to obtain a security access badge.
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and varying shifts.
• No US work sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

• Operate three dual fuel 600 psig steam boilers and distribute via Delta V DCS.
• Operate a gas turbine and RH heat recovery steam generator.
• Manage power generation/distribution and islanding.
• Distribute nitrogen and manage bulk storage.
• Monitor condensate/steam traps and ancillaries.
• Take system readings, perform minor repairs, and log data.
• Respond to alarms and take corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain logs for regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
