Job summary

Energy Transfer is offering a twelve-week Power Opt internship beginning May 2027 for students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with an expected graduation date in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028. The Power Optimization Intern will gain hands-on exposure to utility coordination, contract support, and financial and operational considerations across the project lifecycle.

The role involves collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Legal, and Finance teams, plus external utility

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil, Petroleum, or related Engineering.
• Strong problem-solvers with curiosity, drive, and teamwork skills.
• Summer 2026 internships preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support dashboards for power development and optimization using data visualization tools.
• Translate requirements into actionable visualizations and metrics for stakeholders.
• Monitor real-time and historical data to identify trends and optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with business development, power traders, settlements, IT and operations teams to ensure data accuracy.
