Job summary

Dominion Energy is seeking an Engineering Intern to join the Strategic Initiatives - Operations Analytics team in Richmond, Virginia. The intern will assist with data requests, operational analysis, and automation of data retrieval, gaining exposure to PI system resources and SeeQ analytics.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (ABET-accredited) with an anticipated Spring 2028 or later graduation and a GPA of 3.25+.

Qualifications

• Strong computing and programming skills preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively (presentations included).
• Knowledge of basic electric power concepts, including transmission and distribution.

Responsibilities

• Assist Operations Analytics team with data requests and operational analysis.
• Collaborate to enhance automation of data retrieval and analytics.
• Ensure PI system resources are operational for current and future state operations.
• Explore PI features to model time-series and asset data; utilize SDK/API for data services.
• Train users on SeeQ for data analytics.
• Work with team members and vendors on large-scale, custom application projects.
