Job summary

1898 & Co. seeks a Project Manager in our Power Markets team in Brea, CA to lead power market and supply planning engagements from development through execution.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client relationships, guiding engineers and analysts to deliver defensible, high‑quality results while mentoring junior staff and growing the practice. You will work with multidisciplinary teams on IRP, market assessments, and RFP evaluations, ensuring clear, actionable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, computer science or related field.
• Experience leading technical consulting engagements in power supply planning or integrated resource planning.
• Experience with U.S. wholesale markets including day-ahead, real-time energy products, capacity markets, and ancillary services.
• Familiarity with power purchase agreements, including cost structures, terms, and key risk considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of power market and power supply planning engagements from business development through project execution.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client relationships while guiding multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to growth of the Power Markets practice.
