Job summary

WM is seeking a Power Compliance Manager to lead the execution and continuous improvement of the Power Trading Compliance Program across North America. You will coordinate regulatory submissions, controls, and audit readiness for assets in ERCOT, PJM, MISO, and ISO/RTO regions.

You will partner with WMRE operations, EHS, risk, legal, and finance to translate complex requirements into robust processes, maintain a strong controls environment, and drive proactive risk management.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant work experience in energy, utilities, or regulatory compliance.
• Experience with regulatory reporting, governance, and audit readiness.
• Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements into practical processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Power Trading Compliance Program for applicable assets and markets.
• Interpret regulatory requirements across FERC, DOE/EIA, EPA, ISO/RTO markets (ERCOT, PJM, MISO).
• Maintain compliance calendars, reporting schedules, procedures, and controls.
• Ensure regulatory submissions are accurate, timely, and well-documented.
• Identify, assess, and elevate compliance risks across assets and programs.
